Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Showbuff mobile application (the “App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms, including the Community rules below.
Using Showbuff
You must be at least 13 years old to use Showbuff. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and not to misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.
Your content
You retain ownership of the lists, ratings, notes, photos, and messages you create. You grant us a limited license to store and display that content as needed to operate the App and its social features. You are responsible for the content you create and share.
Community rules
Showbuff has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. These rules apply to everything you post or send in the App: messages, group chats, notes, photos, lists, recommendations, and your username and profile. Do not post or send:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation of anyone.
- Hate speech or slurs that attack people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Sexually explicit or pornographic content, or any sexual content involving minors.
- Graphic violence, or content that encourages violence or self-harm.
- Spam, scams, or impersonation of another person.
- Anything illegal, or another person's private information without their consent.
How we enforce these rules:
- The App checks messages, notes, and recommendation notes for objectionable language before they are posted.
- You can report a profile or a message from inside the App: open the person's profile or your chat with them and tap ••• , or press and hold a message. You can also block a member there; Settings → Blocked users lists everyone you have blocked.
- We review reports within 24 hours. When content breaks these rules, we remove it, and we remove members who post it or who abuse other members.

Catalog data
Movie and show information is provided by The Movie Database (TMDB) and Trakt. Showbuff is not endorsed or certified by TMDB or Trakt. Availability and accuracy of catalog and streaming information are not guaranteed.
Service availability
We work to keep Showbuff available and reliable, but the App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Showbuff is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
Termination
You may stop using Showbuff at any time and delete your account in the App (Settings → Delete account). We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including the Community rules.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
